In our main dance lesson, the first half hour lesson is aimed at dancers with fundamental dance skills and covers basic techniques for the dances; 7:00 to 7:30 P.M. The second half hour continues the lesson topic and is intended to teach towards a more intermediate level of dance; 7:30 to 8:00 P.M. Lessons have included cross-step waltz, nightclub two-step, foxtrot, lindy, fast waltz, blues, schottische, etc. Classes generally include partner rotation, but couples can stay together.

NEW LESSON FEATURE: We are now offering two different lessons simultaneously using the two floors at Avalon; every time, one lesson will be presented in basic waltzing and is oriented towards novice and beginner dancers.

Open dancing from 8 PM to 10 PM (at least!) includes a wide variety of dance numbers. Our audio system has a screen where you can see the name of the current dance and the ones coming up. Couples and singles welcome.

Cost includes both lessons and light refreshments. Hear the great Avalon audio system, enjoy the great hall acoustics, dance on our fabulous cushioned oak floor, and enjoy lovely company.
